The Cameroon football federation FECAFOOT has announced that amateur football clubs and training centers have received payments that were due by the federation for transferring players to Professional clubs for the 2022/23 football season.
A communique signed by Samuel Eto’o Fils, President of FECAFOOT, states that this provision which has existed in the federation’s texts for 10 years, had never been implemented.
It is, therefore, the first time in the history of Cameroonian football that amateur and training clubs are receiving this payment by bank transfer. “In fact, the compensation amounts were taken directly from the SUPPORT granted by the federation to professional clubs,” the communique stated. It should be recalled that FECAFOOT supports professional clubs in Cameroon with a subvention of forty-six million Francs each every season.
The payments are made as follows :
The communique stated that the same will apply to Women’s football in the coming days.
