Dragon football club of Yaounde has become the first team to be relegated from the MTN ELITE ONE championship for the 2022/23 season.
The Yaounde-based club will play in the second tier next season after succumbing to a 3-0 to Group B leaders, Bamboutous Of Mbouda. The defeat means Dragon is now 12 points from the 9th spot with three games left.
A hat-trick for Bamboutous man Junior Kemajou brought the decade-long stay of Dragon De Yaounde to an End. It will now be time for the Management, Coaching Staff, and Players of a Club that has made almost ten years in the top Division to reflect on a dismal campaign that has seen a league-lowest one win in 17 games.

Up next for Dragon is a dead rubber game against Union of Douala on 9th April before facing potential relegation candidates Yafoot on 16th April. They round off the season in a decisive match for AS Fortuna, also at risk of the drop.
Dragon Of Yaounde will hope they can round off the football season on a high by putting together a cup run, which is now their only remaining shot at Glory!
