Adolphe Teikeu: From Football Success to Financial Struggles

Adolphe Teikeu Kamgang, a former Cameroon defender and AFCON 2017 winner, has faced major financial setbacks. During his successful football career, Teikeu invested much of his earnings into real estate, particularly rental apartments in Ukraine. For over four years, these properties provided him with steady income.

Unfortunately, the ongoing war in Ukraine has destroyed some of his properties, while others remain unreachable. Speaking about the situation, Teikeu said, “Everything is on hold. Who will I call?”

Back home in Cameroon, things haven’t been any better. Teikeu trusted family members with his investments, but poor management led to further losses. In addition, his investments in France, managed by an agent, have now resulted in high legal costs, deepening his financial troubles.

Teikeu also admitted some personal regrets. He shared on “Passion Foot Invest” how buying an expensive car that remains unused in Cameroon was a decision he now questions. Currently living in France and without a club, Teikeu has learned many lessons the hard way.

He offered valuable advice to others, urging them to surround themselves with positive, goal-driven people rather than those who may take advantage of them.

Teikeu’s journey began at Arsenal Yaoundé before moving to Ukraine’s FC Metalurh Zaporizhya in 2009. He later played in France with Sochaux and Caen.
