All You Need to Know About the MTN ELITE ONE Playoff

The MTN ELITE ONE regular season is over for the majority of Teams, but for these four, It is just getting started! This year’s Championship playoffs will be held in Douala from the 14th to the 21st of May, 2023.

What is the format of the MTN ELITE ONE playoff?

The 2023 playoffs will take a different format from the 2022 edition. The four teams will face each other in a round-robin tournament in which each team plays 3 games in total. The team with the highest points total will be crowned overall ELITE ONE Champions for 2023.

Where will the 2023 MTN ELITE ONE PLAYOFFS be played?

This year’s playoffs will be played in the coastal city of Douala, with the Douala reunification stadium hosting most games. The Stade Mbappe lepe will be on standby in case the final games need to be played simultaneously. The games will be played according to the following program:

Day One:14th May 2023

• Gazelle Garoua Vs Coton Sports of Garoua (kick off: 3:30pm)
• Canon Sportif De Yaounde Vs Bamboutous De Mbouda (kick off 5:00pm)

Day Two: 18th May 2023

• Canon Sportif De Yaounde Vs Gazelle de Garoua (kick off: 3:30pm)
• Bamboutous De Mbouda Vs Coton Sports of Garoua (kick off 5:00pm)

Day Three: 21st May 2023

• Canon Sportif De Yaounde Vs Coton Sports of Garoua(kick off: 3:30pm)
• Bamboutous De Mbouda Vs Gazelle de Garoua(kick off 5:00pm)

How do I get Tickets for the Playoffs?

You can obtain tickets to watch the games in person through any of the following official channels:

• City Sports
• Douala Two Council Town hall (Newbell)
• Douala Reunificationn Stadium

Tickets are sold for 1 000 francs, 2 000 francs and 5 000 francs
