The 17-time Cameroon league winners, Coton Sport of Garoua, have parted ways with Gabriel Haman and appointed Bisseck Jean Baptiste today.
This comes after a poor run of form since the start of 2023, where Coton Sport has won only two games. As if that isn’t enough, they have lost all their games in the CAF Champions League and are languishing last in their group.
Gabriel Haman Out, Bisseck Jean Baptiste In at Coton Sport
Gabriel Haman and his staff had been given a 3-match ultimatum from the club hierarchies after a nine-game run with one win in all competitions. Since then, they’ve won just one game (1-0 against Djiko FC) and two defeats to Al Ahly and Canon of Yaounde.
Their 0-1 defeat was the final stroke on the camel’s back which ushered the way for Gabriel Haman’s sacking.
Who is Bisseck Jean Baptiste?
Coton Sport appointed Jean Baptiste Bissesck as a new coach who replaces Gabriel Haman.
After having made his classes in the amateur championships of France, Jean Baptiste Bisseck rolled his bump in Cameroon, where he finished finalist of the Cameroon Cup respectively in 2009 with the Astres, regional champion with Cosmos FA in 2011, before winning the Cup of Cameroon 2018 on the bench of Eding de la Lékié.
Jean Baptiste Bisseck left his mark in Equatorial Guinea, where he trained Akonangui FC, before signing for Canon Yaoundé.
Like his predecessor Gabriel Haman, he was fired after a poor run of form.
