Cameroon’s U23 ladies’ football team edged their Moroccan counterparts 2-1 in the first of two friendlies between the two nations. The match was played at the Mohammed IV Stadium on Thursday, 6th of April 2023.

The two friendly games are part of preparations for next month’s Olympic qualifiers in France. The Lionesses took a two-goal lead into the break with goals from Bongben Confidence and Ngah Manga Marie Giselle.
Morocco won and converted a second-half Penalty, but Ndoumou Mike’s charges held on to register the win, despite being reduced to 10 women after a red card to Moumazim Brigette.
The game, played behind closed doors, is the first of two friendly matches between Cameroon and Morocco. The Second match will be played at the same venue on the 9th of April, 2023.
Cameroon U23 ladies will compete with France, Panama, and Japan in the “la Sud Ladies Cup” in Avignon from the 16th to the 21st of May, 2023.
