Bamboutos Stuns Fans: Two Out, Four Suspended

Bamboutos of Mbouda has dismissed club captain Junior Brandon Njoufack and goalkeeper Patrick Lionel Kybien, citing repeated absence from training, insubordination, incitement to strike, and non-respect of professional ethics.
The decision was made public in a communique signed by the Club Director General, Pascal Dissock. It should be noted that this is not the first time Bamboutos has had disciplinary and administrative issues with their players this season.
In February this year, the Players refused to train due to unpaid salaries. It is unclear whether this latest development is connected to similar claims.
In a separate communique, four other players were suspended from club activities for seven days due to unjustified absences from training sessions.
They are:
- Hermann Tchoukounte Sandjon
- Moussa Aoudou
- Eugene Patrice Ejenguele
- Edwin Leonel Ngoumeka
It will be interesting to see how the management and players manage this episode considering that the unrest is coming at a time when the Elite One runners-up are preparing for the round of 32 games of the Cup of Cameroon after suffering a scare in the round of 64 from a team in the lower leagues, only going through after post-match penalty shoot-out.
Bamboutos will face Stade de Bandjoun in the round of 32 of the 2023 edition of the Cup of Cameroon.
